Developing new batteries adapted for extreme cold:

Yin Hu, postdoctoral researcher at Luleå University of Technology, works on improving the energy density of batteries designed to function in extremely cold climates. His project involves testing energy storage using graphite derived from recycled biomass (biochar). If successful, this innovation could help achieve the goals of the European Green Deal and create new jobs in Arctic regions through a circular economy.
