Sachin Dhakal, PhD Research Fellow at Nord University, focuses on food production. His research assesses the nutritional value of Arctic seaweed species and their potential use as reindeer fodder during periods of scarcity. A key aim of the project is to identify sustainable ways to improve the economy of Sámi communities with long-standing traditions of reindeer herding.
