Methane emissions in Arctic regions:
Marie Bulínová, a PhD candidate at UiT, collaborates with colleagues from Umeå University to study methane emissions in Arctic lakes and waterways. By conducting chemical analyses of sediments and environmental DNA, they investigate the causes and processes behind methane emissions. The primary goal is to understand the extent of methane emissions in Arctic regions and their contribution to overall greenhouse gas emissions under changing climate.
