New Arctic Six Chairs Appointed
The Arctic Six has appointed 21 new Chairs for the period 2026–2028. The new Chairs will continue to foster collaboration in research across the Nordic Arctic.
The Chairs programme is the primary framework for research collaboration within the Arctic Six. It brings together scholars with the ambition and capacity to build strong research partnerships across the Arctic Six universities. The programme aims to promote collaborative research through a bottom-up approach and to develop broader, shared fields of collaboration.
“The overarching aim is to strengthen the ability of the Arctic Six universities to secure external funding, thereby supporting our shared goal of developing research-based solutions to the joint challenges facing our northern societies”, says Jørgen Berge, Director of the Arctic Six.
